What do we mean by the SSC exam?

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) was set up by the Government of India to find suitable candidates for government jobs at the group “B” (Non-Gazetted) and Group “C” (Non-Technical) levels.

2. SSC CHSL – General Intelligence, English language, quantitative aptitude, and general awareness. 
3. SSC JE (Junior Engineers) – General intelligence and reasoning, general awareness, and general engineering.
4. SSC GD (General Duty Constable) – General intelligence and reasoning, general knowledge and awareness, quantitative aptitude, English language and comprehension.

Scheme of the Exam

The exams are in phases of tier I to tier IV, computer-based, objective, multiple-choice, on pen and paper or descriptive. There’s a negative marking for wrong answers. The number of questions, marks per question and time duration of each exam are different.
